Exciting Development ..

Following a lead from the Tauranga Bridge Club, Bob Fearn has added a great little routine to Compass scoring. Not long ago an article on the Tauranga site showed how you can use BBO to replay the actual deals from some session you might have played at your club.

Dropbox LINsThis was made possible by first downloading a LIN (BBO Movie) file from the Tauranga site to your hard drive then uploading it into Saved Deals under My BBO. Norm Silcock of Tauranga had gone to great trouble in producing the LIN files and Karen Martelletti maintained a routine to introduce them after play for the day and to remove them a few weeks later. This is now all done within Compass.

The new system is still under test, but you can try out the downstream routines of working with the files already present. Just click here to see the special new BBO Files folder. If your screen looks like this just click on a file to get the offer to download to your hard drive. Invitees to this dropbox folder will already have these files appearing on their machines in the Dropbox folder. In either case these LINs are now ready to upload to BBO. Follow the instructions in the Tauranga article to upload the LIN to BBO. You won't need to select the LIN from the Tauranga site. Do get used to this way of doing it as Norm and Karen won't have to keep supplying us with LINs at Tauranga for much longer.
