I am about to start on a new series “Declare and Defend”. As an example of what that series will focus on, here is an example. If you were one of the many Wests who made fewer than TWELVE tricks in a spade contract, then maybe you would benefit from the series.

All Wests played this hand in 4S. Only ONE that I know of made twelve tricks when all Norths led the king of clubs. That should not be difficult at all. If you can see why, you have no need for my new series. If, on the other hand, you would like to follow the series through, which will look at both declarer play and defence, starting from very basic stuff and leading on to the more difficult, featuring deals from Wednesday and Thursday play, then you should enroll.
