Bridgemates Used for Annual Battle: Putaruru vs Tokoroa

Jan Spaans traveled to Putaruru on Wednesday 24th of September to demonstrate the use of Bridgemates in conjunction with Compass scoring.

Jane StearnsIf you've ever wondered what "Compassmate" in the name of this site is: it's the program developed by Bob Fearn to interface Compass with Bridgemates. Bob is also the author of all the software for X-Clubs which has now been adapted to handle the scoring of the upcoming New Zealand-Wide Pairs on the 31st of October.

Jane Stearns has provided the attached article with photos to give the background to the annual match between the two clubs next on the list for her special brand of assistance. Jane has worked tirelessly to breathe new life into the Te Awamutu, Te Aroha and Matamata clubs. Her "project" for 2015 is both the Putaruru and Tokoroa clubs in the South Waikato. Jane has the happy knack of being able to shake new recruits seemingly from out of trees. Once they're in the door her dynamism and enthusiasm ensure a high retention rate as she takes them through the NZ Bridge lessons. Jane aims to rekindle interest in bridge one small club at a time.
