X-Clubs Into Second Year

Another milestone achieved: X-Clubs started out in Week 35 of 2012 with just Hamilton and Cambridge to add together. In Week 36 we picked up Matamata and Tauranga as well. At time of writing we are in Week 38 of 2013 with twelve clubs involved on a regular basis.

This number includes Dargaville and Gisborne clubs that use the NZ Scorer software: the conversion of their output is well bedded in.

Lately we have been picking up about 120 pairs on Monday nights, 135 on Wednesday nights and 150 on Friday daytimes. This last figure has nudged 180 at times. Viewing stats of the website have increased steadily over the year ...

The weekly League Tables are accumulating a maximum of 50 weeks data now. The older earlier scores are starting to drop for some people. Provided they maintain their choice of partners, this means that their percentages should remain fairly stable. Positions in the table are still subject to the impact of newcomers who have achieved the starting benchmark of 15 games. Over time, as they build up more results, their percentages will stabilise too. It has made fascinating watching every week as Vil Gravis of Hutt has slowly overtaken Sue Sterrenburg of Mt Maunganui who had been at the top of the table for ever it seemed.

The results of several tournaments that were scored using Compass have been posted on this site over the past year. This has been a huge bonus for clubs such as Te Puke and Matamata who do not have their own website as their results have been viewable in full drill-down detail.

Many thanks to Bob Fearn whose dedication and talents have given us this marvellous resource.
